Paws Up: For Year 5
Where there is football, there is cheerleading and where the Tiger Football team is, the 2022-23 Lady Tiger Cheer Team is right beside them.
Starting out year 5 of being the head coach for FHS Cheer has been the easiest start yet. Alongside myself, I have my assistant coach Gabriella Storms and our MS coach Leah Dewald – which is one of the main reasons we are so successful. The three of us work and mesh so well together that all 20 cheerleaders have a clear understanding of what is expected and know the balance of hard work and being able to have fun. We have already been hard at work at NCA Camps and have earned a bid to HS Nationals – be ready to see the Lady Tigers in Dallas, TX!
We cannot fully take responsibility for the amazing work, dedication to learn, and the already early success without acknowledging our Senior Class. This class has grit and determination unlike any class I have had the privilege of coaching. They are true leaders and want the team to be successful and they want to all work well together, and it is proving to work.
Year 5 – it’s crazy to think that I have been in this position for this long. It never ceases to amaze me at how much support not only the team gets, but that I get. The support from our community, TAA, the administration, the athletic trainers, the other coaches and all the athletes – is second to none. We have a great community and our own cheerleaders. I cannot express enough gratitude for all of you that have made my career here so magical and for supporting my team. We can’t wait to show you how hard we have worked and can’t wait for FNL to cheer you on!

A Message from our Football Coach
Coach Steve Pangburn
I would first like to thank the Fleetwood school administration for giving me the opportunity to lead the Tigers onto the field as head coach of the program. It is an opportunity and responsibility I have been building towards for several years. We will prepare to put a brand of football on the field that the community, faculty and student body can be very proud of. I am grateful to have a group of young men that are completely bought in and invested in achieving our goals. Myself and my staff will work tirelessly to provide our athletes with the very best preparation possible. Exciting times lie ahead!
